If CleanerBot was added successfully, it won’t do anything until you run /start.

Didn’t work on first try?

Re-run the invite and select the correct server.

  • Wait a few seconds, then refresh or re-open Discord.
  • Make sure you invited with the required permissions.

Bot disappeared instantly?

Sometimes a newly added bot is removed within seconds by a server security policy or anti-raid automation. If CleanerBot disappeared right after install, this is likely what happened. It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong - and it can usually be fixed quickly.

Note: If CleanerBot was removed instantly, it can’t post setup messages inside your server. Use the steps below, then re-invite.

  • Check your Members list and confirm CleanerBot is no longer there.
  • Temporarily disable strict join protection, or configure your security/anti-raid bot to allowlist CleanerBot.
  • Some tools require an ID allowlist: 1368223375364980746
  • Add CleanerBot again using [Re-invite CleanerBot].
  • If needed, verify the required permissions (and that the CleanerBot role is above roles it should manage).
  • If it still fails, open [Join Support] and we’ll help you check setup.
